Get Started

Step 1: Consultation

If you are looking to get started with therapy, a consultation is where you should start. Starting therapy can be overwhelming, and I get it. Your comfort and confidence in choosing a therapist matter to me. In our 15-minute consultation, we’ll have an open conversation. I’m here to listen to why you’re seeking therapy and your goals. It’s also a chance for you to get to know me and see if we’re a good match.

Step 2: Intake

Once our initial consultation is complete and we’ve decided to move forward, you’ll receive an intake packet. These assessments provide vital insights into the unique factors behind your need for services, guiding us to tailor my approach specifically to your therapy goals.

Step 3: Assessments and Evaluation Session

In our first therapy session, which typically lasts around 75 minutes, we’ll dive into assessments and together establish meaningful therapy goals. These assessments play a crucial role in helping me grasp your unique situation, enabling me to customize an effective and supportive therapeutic plan.  Crafting the therapeutic plan is a collaborative journey. My aim is to ensure you feel empowered and heard, never as if you’re being told what to do.

Insurance

By choosing to work with me as an out-of-network provider, you gain the freedom to collaborate on a comprehensive treatment plan that truly serves you or your family member best. It’s important to know that insurance typically does not cover couples or family counseling because it is not considered a “medical necessity.”

I strongly encourage you to reach out to your insurance company to check your out-of-network benefits. This can help you make an informed decision about your mental health care while allowing us to work together in a way that prioritizes your unique needs and goals.

Payment Information

When it comes to payment for my services, I offer convenience by accepting all major credit cards, including American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, as well as Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts. It’s important to note that I operate as an out-of-network provider and do not work directly with insurance companies. This approach allows me to tailor your treatment to your unique needs rather than adhering to insurance requirements. To simplify the reimbursement process, I provide a superbill that you can submit directly to your insurance provider.

Cancellation

I completely understand that life can be unpredictable, and flexibility in scheduling is essential. You have the option to cancel your session without incurring any fees as long as you do so with at least 24 hours notice before the scheduled start time. Should you choose to reschedule within the same week of canceling, there are no cancellation fees involved. However, if you opt not to reschedule, please be aware that a no-show or late cancellation fee will apply.
